Is MyMET free to use?

Yes. MyMET is a public-benefit open project. Core real-time environmental, earthquake alerts, flood monitoring, and space weather telemetry are freely accessible to all users around the world without paywalls.

Can I donate or subscribe to support MyMET development?

Absolutely! Because running real-time telemetry parsers, cloud caching, and emergency push notification servers incurs ongoing expenses, users may voluntarily contribute via one-time donations or recurring supporter subscriptions (via Google Play In-App Billing). 100% of all voluntary donations and supporter subscriptions are dedicated strictly to funding MyMET development and infrastructure costs. Are you an official government agency (like MET Malaysia, USGS, etc.)?

No, we are not. MyMET is an independent open project developed by QL Studio, the software development division of Qim Lab Enterprise (SSM: 202603007186 / 003810616-X). We aggregate and display publicly available data from authoritative scientific agencies (including USGS, EMSC, NOAA, NASA, MET Malaysia, MET Norway, and PublicInfoBanjir) in a unified format, but we are an independent technology platform.

How accurate is the data?

We strive for accuracy by pulling data directly from the official, reliable sources listed on our Policies page. However, our service is dependent on the availability and accuracy of these external feeds. The data is provided for informational purposes only and should not be used as a sole source for making decisions in life-threatening situations. Always consult official emergency services and local authorities.

Why do you need my location data?

We request location data (only with your permission) to provide you with relevant, location-specific alerts. This includes features like nearby earthquake notifications or local weather warnings. Your privacy is important to us, and this data is used only to power these core features of the app.
